The last time David filled up his truck with gas, he spent $27.44 for 7 gallons. if the price is the same, how much will he pay?

How much will he pay for what? There isn't an end amount stated so it is an impossible question.
If you want to find 1 gallon, divide 27.44 by 7 (= 3.92)
Then multiply 3.92 by whatever amount you require.
