What is the ration for 48 students with a ratio of 5:7?

5:7 ratio is 5+7= 12 total students in ratio

Set up a proportion:

5/12=x/48
Cross multiply
(5*48)= (12*x)
240= 12x
Divide both sides by 12
20= x
