Solomon and Saul really can be thought of as almost complete opposites instead of comparing. Solomon was called by God at a young age, a man full of character and dedicated to him since he was only a child. Saul on the other hand had hate in him when he was King, and failed to follow God's commands when instructed to do so, also extremely arrogant compared to Solomon
