Shawna reduced the size of a rectangle to a height of 2 in. What is the new width if it was originally 24 in. wide and 12 in. tall?

The width of the new rectangle is 1 in. 
This is because the ration of height to width is 2:1 in this rectangle. This means that the width is half of the height. Now, all we have to do is divide the height (2) by two which makes 1.
