Slope is defined as the change in y with respect to the change in x.

[tex]m = \frac{y_2 - y_1}{x_2 - x_1}[/tex]

Plug in the values.

[tex]\frac{1 - 1}{1 - (-1)} = \frac{0}{2}[/tex]

So, the slope is equal to 0. Which means its a horizontal line.
