Tim mixed 2 parts vinegar and 5 parts water to make a cleaning liquid. How many parts of vinegar did Tim mix with each part of water?

5 parts of water plus 2 parts of vinegar.

1 part of water =  (2/5) parts of vinegar

                          = 0.40 parts of vinegar.

So Tim mixed 0.40 parts of vinegar with each (1) part of water.
