Francis Bacon and Rene Descartes share a scientific belief that in order to solve a problem it must be cut into smaller parts. Francis Bacon was known as a great English Philosopher while Rene Descartes was known as the father of modern philosophy. 
Nature could be explained through abstract reasoning and experimentation
