two of the major rivers in India are the Indus and the ganges river the indus river is supposed to be what made india prosper and the ganges river is important according to the Hindu religion

NARMADA

TAPI

GANGES

GODAVARI

KRISHNA

MAHANADI.

Along with other numerous tributes make up the river system of India, and most of the rivers pour their waters into the Bay of Bengal.
