The surface area of a cube is:

A=6s^2 so we can say:

s=√(A/6)=(A/6)^(1/2)

The volume of  a cube is:

V=s^3, using s found above we have:

V=(A/6)^(1/2)^3

V=(A/6)^(3/2), and A=486 so

V=(486/6)^(3/2)

V=81^(3/2)

V=729 m^3
