how did immigration change during the period between the civil war and the early 1900's? 3-5 sentences please!!

The rate at which immigrants came to (America, I am assuming), exponentially increased. With the fast paced development of the country, it attracted more migrants to come here. This also lead to a direct result of the United States seeing a large economics growth period as well.
