  • let the first number = n
  • let the sum of the second and third number = y

n + y = 780

if n is 50% more than y;

n = 1.5y

1.5y + y = 780

2.5y = 780

y = 780/2.5

y = 312

n = 1.5y = 1.5 x 312 = 468
