each ounce is equal to 1/16 of each pound (1 ÷ 16 = 0.0625) so 10 ounces is equal to 0.625 pounds (0.0625 * 10). he eats 0.625 pounds of candy in 5 days so he eats 0.125 pounds per day. (0.625÷5=0.125)
