Are the following equations parallel, perpendicular or neither?

y = 4x + 2
y = -4x - 1

I believe it would be neither because parallels means same and parallel lines never change but these 2 equations seem too. It also doesn’t make slot of since for perpendicular lines to have one equation all positive and the other all negative.
