A primary source comes from a first-hand witness's point of view which makes the information from that source more valid than a secondary.

By definition, a primary source is a first-hand account of an event or story. With a second-hand source being a review or cover of multiples of the primary source, the primary source has an advantage by being the raw, original story that will contain more truth that the second-hand source.
