A pessimist is a person who tends to believe that the worst will happen.
Example:
Daughter:" OMG I cant believe I'm going to drive my new car!"
Dad: " I'm going with you because who knows what might happen. You can get in a car accident and break bones or die!
Daughter: It's not my first time driving a car.
Dad: Well I'm not risking it!
