Answer:

In the book The Outsiders, Dally can be recognized for being a hero because  because of his kind and heroic actions towards Johnny. He is also a hero for risking his life to save Ponyboy and Johnny during the church fire. The chapter for the church fire were appropriately from chapter 6-8
