One way to make it easier to multiply, pick a number from a multiplication problem. Then, add the amount of times of the other number.

Example:

6 x 8 = ?

8 = Chosen Number

So, add 8, 6 times.

8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 + 8 = ?

? = 48

Which, 6 x 8 does equal 48.
