We have:

h - height

b = 2h - base

A = 36 - area

so:

[tex]A=\frac{1}{2}\cdot b\cdot h\\\\A=\frac{1}{2}\cdot 2\cdot h \cdot h\\\\A=h^2\\\\36=h^2\quad|\sqrt{(\dots)}\\\\\boxed{h=6}[/tex]
