[tex] - 13a < - 13 \\ \frac{ - 13a}{ - 13} < \frac{ - 13}{ - 13} \\ therefore \: a > 1 [/tex]

Do the same for the other inequality.

Note when mutiplying or dividing an inequality,the sign is reversed.Notice that in the above working out.

You should then end up with

[tex]a \leqslant 4[/tex]

So the solution set would be (1,4]
