Negative peer pressure occurs when a child or teen's friends or other people their age try to convince them to do something that is either harmful to their body or is illegal (against the law) 
Examples could be drinking alcohol, taking drugs, smoking cigarettes, cutting classes, vandalizing, and even stealing.
