Tym-panic membrane, also known as eardrum, is a thin layer of tissue in the human ear that absorbs sound waves from the external environment and transfer them to the small bones in the cavity of the tym-panic (middle-brain)  called auditory ossicles.

The membrane located over the outer canal end .The edges are fixed into a bone ring.

The drum membrane made up of three layers including outer layer,inner layer and a layer of radial and circular fibres between the outer and inner membrane.
