you can use 3/4 to write 6/8 as a decimal because I know that 3/4 means three quarters of one which is equal 0.25 in decimal form. So knowing 3/4 is equal to 6/8 helps me because it puts the fraction 6/8 into a simpler fraction that is easier to convert into a decimal.
