North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) is the 1994 trade agreement
signed by the United States, Canada and Mexico. NAFTA superseded the Free Trade
Agreement (FTA), which was signed by the leaders of United States and Canada in
1988. This facilitates cross-border trade and fair competition.
