A metal has the mass of 53.7 grams and displaces 6.2 no of water. Determine the density of the metal.

Explanation:

We know that density is given by [tex]\frac {mass}{volume}[/tex]

Since we are not given the units for water displaced, we assume it's ml and converting 6.2 ml to cubic meters we divide by a million hence it's 0.0000062 cubic meters

The mass is also converted into Kg by dividing by 1000 hence we obtain 0.0537 Kg

[tex]Density=\frac {0.0537}{0.0000062}=8661.290323 Kg/m^{3}[/tex]
