For let first find power in lb-ft/sec

So power in lb-ft/sec [tex]=\frac{5000lb\times 30ft}{320sec}=46.875lb-ft/sec[/tex]

Now we know that 1 horsepower = 550 lb-ft/sec

So 46.785 lb-ft/sec = [tex]\frac{46.875}{550}=0.08522horsepower[/tex]
