The trick Is to break it up 2 hours and 20 minutes and convert the 20 minute into hours, so if he runs at 6km/h then in 2 hours he ran 12 kms and 20 minutes in hours = 1/3 of hour therefore 6 multiplied by 1/3 is 2 km therefore th total he ran was 14 kms
