Division is used in the botanical classification (plant, algae) and mycota (fungi) classification.

In systematics, division is the second taxonomic rank in the codified hierarchy of the traditional scientific classification (that is, taking into account all observable taxonomic characters, whatever the method used) of living species. It is the synonym Phylum.
