World War 1 had many effects of Turnkey although, I think the most important one is the Turkish War of Independence (1919 - 1923). With the help of the British and the French, the Ottoman empire that was ruling Turkey came to an end and brought the Turkish Republic.
It lost control of many former Ottoman territories, but established an independent republic. (APEX)
