x < -  [tex]\frac{13}{7}[/tex]

add [tex]\frac{4}{7}[/tex] to both sides

- 3x > [tex]\frac{4}{7}[/tex] + [tex]\frac{35}{7}[/tex]

- 3x > [tex]\frac{39}{7}[/tex] ( divide both sides by - 3 )

note that when we divide/ multiply by a negative quantity we must reverse the inequality symbol

x < - [tex]\frac{13}{7}[/tex]
