If each part is 1/10 and she finished 5 then...

5× 1/10 = 5/10 = 1/2

She finished 1/2 of the race.

so if you wanna know how long Marsha did you should multiply 1/10 by 5 so you will have: 5/10 which is equal to 1/2 mile :)))
