Benvolio is a cheerful and out-going person.  He is also a good friend and is in the mood for a party.  Mercurio is a very eloquent, talented and full of imagination.  He also likes to tease Romeo to humor him.  Both men though look out for Romeo and want nothing but to see him happy.
