That angle x is equal to 1/2 of (the larger arc minus the smaller arc).  This is what that looks like in equation form: [tex]x= \frac{x+60-20}{2} [/tex].  Multiply both sides by 2 to get rid of the denominator on the right and you'll get 2x=x+60-20.  Move the x by subtraction to the left side and combine like terms on the right and you have x = 40.  There you go!
