By definition, the surface area of a cone is given by:
 [tex]A = \pi * r ^ 2 + \pi * r * l [/tex]
 Where,
 r: radius of the circular base
 l: inclined height.
 Substituting values we have:
 [tex]A = \pi * 2 ^ 2 + \pi * 2 * 6 [/tex]
 Rewriting we have:
 [tex]A = 4 \pi + 12 \pi A = 16 \pi units ^ 2[/tex]
